The Great Kingdom Kids Faith-in-Action Adventure!

It was Saturday morning in Safari Forest, and the Kingdom Kids were gathered outside Ms. Rose’s cottage. Something VERY exciting was happening. Colorful flags were hanging from the trees. A giant banner stretched across the clearing. And in the middle of the grass sat a mysterious treasure chest!

Sophie spotted it first. “OOOOOH! A TREASURE CHEST!”

Timmy’s ears perked up. “Is it full of bananas?”

Ian adjusted his explorer glasses. “Statistically speaking, Timmy, not every treasure chest contains food.”

Timmy sighed. “That’s unfortunate.”

Bleu fluttered above the chest. “Look at the banner!” Everyone looked up. It read: THE GREAT KINGDOM KIDS FAITH-IN-ACTION ADVENTURE!

Ms. Rose stepped forward with her Bible. “Good morning, Kingdom Kids!”

“GOOD MORNING!” everyone shouted.

“Today,” Ms. Rose announced, “we’re going to put everything we’ve learned this week into practice!”

Sophie bounced excitedly. “YES! I LOVE A CHALLENGE!”

Ian pulled out his notebook. “I am prepared to document our progress.”

Bleu twirled. “And I’m prepared to CHEER!”

Timmy lifted his trunk. “And I’m prepared to eat a snack afterward!”

Ms. Rose laughed. “Then let’s begin!” She opened her Bible and read their Scripture for the week: “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV)

“Today,” she explained, “we have five Faith-in-Action Challenges. Each one will help us practice something we’ve learned about trusting God and living according to His Word.”

Sophie raised her paw. “Is there a trophy?”

Ms. Rose smiled. “Something better. When you finish, you’ll discover what’s inside the treasure chest!”

Timmy gasped. “BANANAS!” Everyone burst into laughter.

CHALLENGE 1: TIMMY’S NEXT RIGHT STEP

Ms. Rose pointed to a trail of colorful paper footprints. “Timmy, would you lead our first challenge?”

Timmy marched proudly to the front. “FOLLOW ME, EXPLORERS!”

Each footprint had a simple action written on it: PRAY. TELL THE TRUTH. SHOW KINDNESS. ASK FOR WISDOM. OBEY GOD’S WORD.

Timmy stepped onto the first footprint. “I can pray!” He stepped onto the next. “I can tell the truth!” Then the next. “I can show kindness!” Soon, all the Kingdom Kids were marching along the footprints together.

Ms. Rose smiled. “Remember, children, walking by faith means trusting God’s Word and taking the next wise step.”

Timmy raised his trunk. “GOD’S WORD LEADS THE WAY, AND I CAN TAKE THE NEXT STEP TODAY!”

CHALLENGE 2: IAN’S SCRIPTURE INVESTIGATION

Ian hurried toward a little table covered with cards. “Excellent! My area of expertise!”

Ms. Rose had placed several everyday situations on one side of the table and Bible truths on the other.

Ian read the first card. “I need wisdom to make a good choice.” He studied the Scripture cards. “Ah-ha! James 1:5 teaches us to ask God for wisdom!” He matched the cards.

Then he read another situation. “Someone needs kindness and love.”

Bleu fluttered forward. “Jesus teaches us to love one another!”

Ian nodded. “John 13:34. Correct!”

Next came: “I don’t know everything that will happen next.”

Timmy shouted, “WALK BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT!”

Ian smiled. “2 Corinthians 5:7! Another successful match!”

Ms. Rose nodded. “God’s Word gives us truth to guide our thinking and choices.”

Ian wrote in his notebook: INVESTIGATION COMPLETE: GOD’S WORD IS OUR SOURCE OF TRUTH!

CHALLENGE 3: SOPHIE’S STAND-FOR-WHAT’S-RIGHT CHALLENGE

Sophie marched into the center of the clearing. “ALL RIGHT, EVERYBODY! TIME FOR SOME BOLD CHOICES!”

Ms. Rose held up a card. “Your friends want you to leave someone out of a game.”

Sophie put her paws on her hips. “NOT ON MY WATCH!” Everyone laughed.

Then Sophie smiled. “I can invite that person to join us because Jesus teaches us to love others!”

Ms. Rose held up another card. “Someone tells you it’s okay to break a rule because nobody is watching.”

Sophie shook her head. “Nope! I can do what’s right even when nobody else sees!”

Then she struck her most dramatic tiger pose. “I DON’T FOLLOW THE CROWD. I FOLLOW GOD’S WORD!”

Timmy clapped his big elephant ears together. Bleu cheered. Ian nodded approvingly. “Excellent demonstration of principled decision-making!”

Sophie grinned. “I know, Ian. I’m fabulous!”

CHALLENGE 4: BLEU’S ENCOURAGEMENT MISSION

Bleu fluttered toward a basket filled with little paper hearts. “MY TURN! MY TURN!”

Ms. Rose explained. “Each heart has a situation where someone might need encouragement.”

Bleu selected the first heart. “A friend is learning something new.”

Bleu smiled. “I can remind them that learning takes practice and offer to help!”

She picked another. “Someone feels left out.”

Bleu’s wings lifted. “I can invite them to join us and show them kindness!”

Then she selected the final heart. “Someone is having a difficult day.”

Bleu thought for a moment. “I can listen, pray with them if they’d like, and share a Scripture that speaks to what they’re facing!”

Ms. Rose smiled warmly. “Beautiful, Bleu. Encouragement is speaking truth with love and helping others take wise steps.”

Bleu twirled happily. “MY WORDS CAN CARRY GOD’S TRUTH, AND MY KINDNESS CAN HELP SOMEONE TAKE THE NEXT STEP!”

CHALLENGE 5: MS. ROSE’S FAITH COMES ALIVE CHALLENGE

Finally, Ms. Rose brought out the three baskets from Friday’s lesson. One showed an ear. One showed a heart. One showed footprints.

Sophie grinned. “I KNOW THESE!”

Ms. Rose smiled. “Then let’s say them together!” She pointed to the first basket. “I HEAR GOD’S WORD!” Everyone repeated it.

She pointed to the second. “I BELIEVE GOD’S TRUTH!” The Kingdom Kids shouted it together.

Then she pointed to the third. “I PUT GOD’S WORD INTO PRACTICE!”

Sophie leaped into the air. “FAITH IN ACTION!”

Ian lifted his notebook. “ALL FIVE CHALLENGES COMPLETED!”

Timmy looked toward the treasure chest. “Does that mean it’s time?”

Ms. Rose laughed. “Yes, Timmy. It’s time.” The Kingdom Kids gathered around the chest. Ms. Rose slowly lifted the lid.

Inside were five beautiful golden cards. Timmy’s card said: TAKE THE NEXT RIGHT STEP. Ian’s card said: TRUST GOD’S WORD. Sophie’s card said: STAND FOR WHAT IS RIGHT. Bleu’s card said: ENCOURAGE OTHERS WITH TRUTH. Ms. Rose’s card said: HEAR IT. BELIEVE IT. LIVE IT.

But underneath the cards was one more surprise. A large golden heart with these words: JESUS IS OUR GREATEST TREASURE!

The Kingdom Kids grew quiet. Ms. Rose smiled. “Children, these challenges help us practice what we’ve learned. But the greatest treasure isn’t completing a game or earning a prize.”

She held up the golden heart. “Our greatest treasure is knowing Jesus Christ and growing in our relationship with Him.”

Bleu fluttered closer. “And His Word helps us know Him better!”

“That’s right,” Ms. Rose answered.

Timmy smiled. “So we can keep walking by faith every day!”

Ian nodded. “Not just during our challenges.”

Sophie lifted her paw. “And not just when everybody is watching!”

Bleu twirled. “And we can encourage each other along the way!”

Ms. Rose opened her Bible one more time. “Then let’s say our Scripture together.” All the Kingdom Kids stood tall. “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

And with joyful hearts, they shouted: “WE ARE KINGDOM KIDS, AND WE WALK BY FAITH!”

Just then, Timmy raised his trunk. “Ms. Rose?”

“Yes, Timmy?”

“Now that we’ve found the greatest treasure…” He paused. “Can we find the bananas?”

Everyone burst into laughter! And the Great Kingdom Kids Faith-in-Action Adventure ended with joyful cheers, wonderful memories, and—yes—some delicious snacks!

Let's Grow

Today is our Saturday Kingdom Challenge, and we’re putting our faith into action! All week, we’ve learned that walking by faith means trusting God’s Word and allowing His truth to guide our lives.

Timmy: Take the next wise step according to God’s Word.

Ian: Trust God’s truth while continuing to learn and seek wisdom.

Sophie: Stand boldly and kindly for what is right.

Bleu: Encourage others with God’s truth and love.

Ms. Rose: Hear God’s Word, believe His truth, and put it into practice.

Faith isn’t just something we talk about during devotion time. It’s something we live as we follow Jesus. And the greatest treasure of all is knowing Him!
