Bleu's paper butterfly craft
Ages 3 and up, with a grown-up helper. About 15 minutes. Bleu says, “I'm right here with you!”
You need: a square of paper (any color), a clothespin or pipe cleaner, crayons or markers, and a little glue (optional).
- Color both sides of the paper with dots, hearts and stripes, like Bleu's purple and blue wings.
- Fold the paper back and forth like a fan, with folds about as wide as your finger.
- Pinch the fan in the middle so both ends spread out into wings.
- Clip the clothespin over the middle (or twist a pipe cleaner around it). Bend two ends of the pipe cleaner up for antennae.
- On the clothespin, write one thing God made that you love.
- Talk about it: God made a caterpillar change into a butterfly. What is God helping you grow in?
