Week 1: Jesus Is With Me

Day 6 · Saturday with the Kingdom Kids

When fear shows up, I can remember what God says.

Book connection: Fear Not

Scripture

“Do not fear, for I am with you.”
Isaiah 41:10

The Safari Forest Courage Challenge

“Kingdom Kids!” Ms. Rose called. “It's time for today's Safari Challenge!”

Timmy, Ian, Sophie, and Bleu hurried over. Ms. Rose held a small bag filled with cards showing situations that might make someone nervous.

Timmy drew: “You have to go somewhere you've never been before.” He admitted it could make him nervous, then remembered: “Jesus is with me.”

Bleu drew: “You wake up during the night and hear a strange noise.” She remembered that Jesus is with her even in the middle of the night.

Ian drew: “Something happens and you don't understand why.” He remembered: “I don't have to understand everything to know Jesus is with me.”

Sophie drew: “You want to try something new, but you're afraid you might fail.” She answered: “I can trust Jesus and take the next step.”

Ms. Rose smiled. “You didn't pretend the situations weren't scary. You remembered God's truth in the middle of them.”

Timmy's eyes grew wide. “We applied it!”

Bleu fluttered into the air. “That's part of our declaration!”

Together they shouted: “Holy Spirit, help us apply it to our lives!”

Let's Grow

Learning God's Word is important, but God doesn't want His Word to stay only in our heads. He wants us to live it. That's what it means to apply God's Word. Practice: STOP — What am I thinking? REMEMBER — What does God's Word say about what I'm facing? APPLY — What will I do because I believe Him? Week 1 keeps this tool simple. In Week 2, the Kingdom Kids will learn more about checking thoughts and speaking the correct truth.

Think About It

Imagine something happens today that makes you afraid. Instead of immediately reacting, practice: STOP — What am I thinking? REMEMBER — What does God's Word say about what I'm facing? APPLY — What will I do because I believe Him?

Prayer

Jesus, thank You for teaching us Your truth. We don't want to only hear Your Word—we want to live it. When fear comes, help us stop and remember what You have said about what we're facing. Holy Spirit, remind us of God's truth and help us choose our actions according to truth instead of fear. In Jesus' name, amen.

Kingdom Kids Declaration

I receive knowledge. I do not reject it or turn away from it. My heart is open to receive. My mind is ready to be renewed. Holy Spirit, I ask You to help me apply it to my life. Amen.

Now Let's Apply It!

Same story, same truth. Find your level.

  • Little Explorers

    Preschool–Kindergarten

Play “Stop, Remember, Go!” Hold up your hand: “STOP!” Point to your head: “REMEMBER! Jesus is with me!” March forward: “GO! I can keep going with Jesus!”

  • Trail Adventurers

    Grades 1–2

Make three cards: STOP — What am I thinking? / REMEMBER — What does God's Word say about what I'm facing? / APPLY — What will I do? Use them with one situation that makes you nervous.

  • Expedition Adventurers

    Grades 3–5

For the next 24 hours, notice when fear or worry shows up. STOP: identify what you're thinking. REMEMBER: ask what God's Word says about what you're facing. APPLY: choose one action based on truth rather than fear. Reflect: Did believing God's truth change what I did?
