Sunday Morning in Safari Forest

The morning sun peeked through the trees of Safari Forest. Timmy, Ian, Sophie, and Bleu gathered around Ms. Rose.

Timmy remembered that Jesus was with him when he didn't know where the trail was going. Ian remembered that he could trust even when he couldn't see everything. Sophie remembered she could take the next step. Bleu remembered Jesus was with her everywhere.

Ms. Rose said, “We don't learn God's Word just so we can know more. We receive His Word so it can change the way we think and the way we live.”

Timmy smiled. “Receive... renew... and apply!”

“Exactly,” Ms. Rose said. “And when we discover who Jesus is and what He has done for us, we worship Him.”

“Come on, explorers. Let's worship Jesus together!”

Play the Fear Not song. Stand up if you can. Sing, dance, clap, and use motions. Listen for the truths learned this week: when fear comes, we remember what God has said; Jesus is with us everywhere; even when we don't know what is ahead, we can move step by step because Jesus is our hope. Don't just sing the words—believe them.

Think About It

What did God teach you this week? Was there a moment when you felt afraid, nervous, worried, or unsure? What truth do you want to carry into the new week?

Prayer

Jesus, we worship You because You are good and You are always with us. Thank You for everything You taught us this week. When we are afraid, uncertain, or don't know what comes next, help us remember Your Word. Holy Spirit, continue renewing our minds and help us live what we have learned. We give You our fears, and we choose to trust You. In Jesus' name, amen.

    Preschool–Kindergarten

    Play Fear Not again and make motions. On “Fear Not,” make a big X with your arms. When the song reminds you Jesus is with you, point up and hug yourself. On “step by step,” march. Finish by shouting: “JESUS IS WITH ME!”

  • Trail Adventurers

    Grades 1–2

    Listen again and choose one truth from the song you want to remember. Write: “This week I will remember this when ______.” Put it somewhere visible.

  • Expedition Adventurers

    Grades 3–5

    Choose one truth from worship. Answer: WORSHIP — What truth about Jesus did I sing? WORD — How does Isaiah 41:10 support it? LIFE — What situation needs to change because I believe it? Finish: “Because Jesus is with me, this week I will ______.”
